Moon Colonies
Last Friday, our moon colonies received notice from the U.S. government that they could no longer trade with one another, as the lack of trade with the U.S. was causing U.S. companies to suffer. Take a look at some of the reactions the moon colonists had. |

This week, we will continue learning about the acts and taxes that angered the colonists, including the Tea Act, Boston Tea Party, and Intolerable Acts. We will learn about colonists meeting at the First Continental Congress to plan and discuss the possibility of war. We started comic strips about the British acts last week. We will use some class time to finish those, but students may have to finish at home. Comic strips are due Friday, March 20. No quizzes this week! Timeline project- due Tuesday, March 24 (see below) |

the importance of studying
It is crucial that students review their notes each time something new is added. Studying at home can be as simple as reading notes aloud to themselves a few times in a quiet room. Another option is having an adult or older sibling ask questions from the notes.
